Homemade rat toys for your ratties!

Im going to tell you guys some really cool homemade rat toys you can make for your ratties. My favorite one to make is really easy. All you do is you take some treats like seed or dried fruit and rap it up into some toilet paper or newspaper. Your rats will have the best time trying to rip it open to get to the treats. Another cool one you can do is this, Take a plastic box you don't mind getting chewed up or you can use a card bord box you just have to replace it once and a while. Fill the box with lots of rat friendly things like, Shredded paper or newspaper, Card bord, plastic bottle caps and old t-shirts or any old cloth. Mix it all up into the box and add a few treats. place it in your rats cage. They will love digging through it and finding treats along the way. You can also make homemade chewing blocks. Just collect popcicle sticks, blocks, or anything small and wooden. Put them into food die and let them sit. After this take them out and let the dry. You can also put them onto a string and hand them from the top of your cage but i think it is simpler just to set them in your cage. Your rats will like to chew on them. I will post more kinds of toys later but i hope you enjoy these now!

I have a funny story to share with you guys. Last night I was in my sisters room. I heard my Dad outside in the hallway. We went out and asked him what he was doing. He said " Im listening to the rats trying to figure out what they are tearing up down there". The next day they had this HUGE big mess. They had made a bed of paper, cloth, mulch, and cardbord. It was about 5 inches tall and foot long. I got to looking at it and saw that there was one of my rats right down in the middle of it. Im glad my rats had fun making the biggest rat bed in history.

P.S. I have posted a picture of the mess.
